I attended this school for three weeks in the winter of 2025. I enjoyed my time in Siena very much – the school is great and there were many classmates for me to hang out with and tour Siena.
LOCATION: The school is fairly close to Il Campo, perhaps about a 10 minute walk. Siena is hilly but if you take it slowly, it is very enjoyable. There are cafes and restaurants close by and it’s fun to explore a few different contrade along the way. Siena’s contrade (neighborhoods) are very interesting and I enjoyed walking all around the city while I lived there to visit all 17 of them!
SCHOOL: The school is in an ancient palazzo and is very well organized. There are many students there, some from American colleges/universities and plenty of adults as well. You stay with one teacher the whole time, working from a workbook, learning grammar and practicing speaking. There is a nice 20 minute break in the day as well. This school also does afterschool activities, like touring the Duomo and Il Campo, having aperitivo, cooking and wine tasting.
